Amazon DSP is a demand-side platform (DSP) that enables advertisers to programmatically buy display, video, and audio ads on and off Amazon. The Amazon DSP API provides self-service customers with programmatic access to Amazon's DSP. Amazon DSP is available to advertisers who sell products on Amazon and those who do not.

Using Amazon's DSP connector, reporting data included activity from Amazon properties, Amazon publishing partners, and third-party exchanges.

Here is the migration guide for DSP (v2) to DSP (v3) reporting from Amazon:

Creating A DSP Report Template

Amazon DSP reporting supports a combination of report types and dimension combinations. When creating a DSP pipeline, you must define a report template(s) you want us to collect.

Defining Report Templates

Amazon DSP supports the following report types defined by Amazon Ads:

Each of these reports can have multiple dimensions. For example, a "Campaign" report type supports three types of dimensions: Campaign, Ad, and Creative. This means a Campaign report can have many possible configurations. Here are a few examples;

  • Report Campaign; Dimension: Campaign

  • Report Campaign; Dimension: Ad

  • Report Campaign; Dimension: Creative

  • Report Campaign; Dimension: Campaign, Ad

  • Report Campaign; Dimension: Campaign, Ad, Creative

  • Report Campaign; Dimension: Creative, Ad

Note: The specific combinations you select can adjust the data present in the outputs. For the latest definitions and behaviors, we suggest referencing the report type docs at Amazon.

Once a report template is defined, you save it with a template label. This saved template becomes available to any DSP pipeline you configure, allowing you to reuse a standard report definition over time consistently.

Selecting Your Reporting Templates In a Pipeline

Once you have defined the report templates, they will be displayed as a selectable dataset in your pipeline configuration.

Once your reports are defined and selected, you can save your pipeline!

Amazon DSP Permissions

Obtaining consent to an Amazon DSP account requires being invited by the entity admin. Once invited, you must accept the invitation.

To invite a user to an Amazon DSP account, the account owner/admin must initiate an invitation as Amazon defines. See the following process: https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/get-started/dsp-obtain-consent
