Before you start
You need all three of the following:
A Premium, Business, or Enterprise plan. Organizations aren't included on lower plans. If you're on one, open Plans to upgrade.
Account owner access. Only the person who owns the account can create the organization. Everyone else sees a note where the button would be.
No existing organization. An account can have one organization. If yours already has one, you'll see an Organization Created badge instead.
Create your organization
Click your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Account.
Open the Profile tab.
Scroll down to Create an Organization.
Click Create Organization.
Enter your Organization name — this is what your team sees when they log in, for example `Acme Widgets`. It must contain at least one letter or number.
Click Create Organization to finish.
The page reloads and the section now shows an Organization Created badge.
What happens next
Two new tabs appear in your Account area:
Organization — shows your organization name, organization ID, and your Team Login URL. Click Copy and send that URL to your team; it's the address they use to sign in.
Team — click Invite member to send invitations to the people who should have access.
Troubleshooting
What you see | What it means |
No Create Organization button, just an upgrade link | Your plan doesn't include organizations. Upgrade to Premium, Business, or Enterprise. |
Only the account owner can create an organization. | You're signed in as a team member rather than the owner. Ask the account owner to create it. |
An organization name containing at least one letter or number is required. | The name is empty or made only of symbols and spaces. Add a letter or a number. |
An error appears after you submit | The name may already be taken. Try a different one, or contact support. |
